Title I Information

Clinton-Massie Local Schools receives federal funding through the Title I grant.  The amount of this grant is determined by the percentage of economically disadvantaged students as determined by qualifying free and reduced lunch applications.  The District has a small percentage of economically disadvantaged students and so our grant is small and is considered as Targeted Assistance only.  Currently, our elementary school and middle school are the only buildings in which these funds may be spent and only for students that score in the bottom 20% when rank ordered.  The assessments vary with the grade levels.  These include: Ohio State Tests; NWEA MAP; Dibels; STAR Reading; STAR Math; and the Ohio Diagnostic Assessments.  Parents are informed through building newsletters as to when their child is tested and by what instrument.  Data from the assessments are sent home in a timely manner.  Any student determined to be in need of reading or math assistance in a Title I setting are informed in writing.
